Today, we will show how to solve the error “Something went wrong. This API project is not authorized to use this API” in Premium Google Reviews Widget. This error usually happens when Places API is not enabled for your project. So, we will show you how to enable Places API so you can retrieve your google reviews of your place.
Requirements:
- You will need Premium Addons PRO plugin installed and activated on your website.
- Also, make sure that this widget/addon is enabled so you can find it in the Elementor editor. Check this article to know how to do that.
- Premium Addons works only with Elementor Page Builder plugin so you will need to have it installed and activated as well.

We will start by getting Google API Key. For further information about getting your API key, please check this article.
Step 1: After you get your Google API Key, navigate to your project dashboard. Click on ENABLE API AND SERVICES button on the top of the page.

Step 2: Search for Places API, then select it from the results list.

Step 3: Click on Enable button to enable Places API on your project.

After Places API is enabled, Google Reviews widget should pull the reviews without any issues.
