Elementor MCP lets an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT build pages on your Elementor site from a chat. On its own, it only works with the new Elementor elements. Classic widgets are out of its reach, including the Heading and Button widgets most Elementor sites are built with.
Premium Addons for Elementor changes that. Once Elementor MCP is on, the same connection can add classic Elementor widgets, Premium Addons widgets and ready-made templates to your pages. With Premium Addons PRO, it can also use Elementor Pro widgets and widgets from other plugins you have installed.
What Elementor MCP Is
Elementor MCP is a connection built into Elementor that lets AI assistants read and edit your site. It uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard for connecting AI tools to other software. You switch it on from Elementor → Elementor MCP, then connect your AI assistant by following Elementor’s connection guide.
Requirements
- Elementor 4.3.0 or later. Elementor Pro is not required.
- Premium Addons for Elementor 4.11.107 or later.
- WordPress 7.0 or later.
- Elementor MCP turned on, with an AI assistant connected to it.
- Premium Addons PRO, only if you want Elementor MCP to use Elementor Pro widgets or widgets from other plugins.
How Premium Addons Works With Elementor MCP
When you click Enable MCP access on the Elementor MCP page, Premium Addons switches on its AI Abilities for you. An ability is one task the AI assistant can run on your site, such as adding a widget or listing your pages. You do not need a second connection or any extra setup.
⚠️ Info: If Elementor MCP was already on before you updated Premium Addons, or you turned AI Abilities off at some point, turn it on yourself from Premium Addons → MCP Config & AI Abilities with the Enable MCP & AI Abilities switch. Turning Elementor MCP off later does not switch AI Abilities off.
Every ability you keep switched on in Manage AI Abilities is available to Elementor MCP. If you switch one off, Elementor MCP stops seeing it. The full list is in the AI Abilities tutorial.
To check that everything is in place, open Premium Addons → MCP Config & AI Abilities. Once your AI assistant has connected through Elementor MCP, the tab says Connected via Elementor MCP, and Elementor MCP appears under Your AI client connection.
Elementor MCP Widgets: What Premium Addons Adds
Elementor MCP builds with the new Elementor elements (the v4 atomic elements). If you ask it for a classic widget, such as the Heading widget you have used for years, it can’t add one. Its own tools accept only the new element types. They can edit a few existing classic elements but can’t create new ones.
Premium Addons abilities place classic widgets on the page for it. What Elementor MCP can work with depends on your plan:

What You Can Ask Elementor MCP to Build
Name Premium Addons in your prompt. If you don’t, the AI assistant may reach for Elementor’s new elements instead of the widget you had in mind. These prompts are good starting points:
Insert a ready-made section. The AI assistant lists matching sections from the Premium Templates library and waits for you to pick one before it adds anything.
“Show me testimonial sections from the Premium Addons templates library, then add the one I choose to this page.”
Build a hero slider. The AI assistant creates the slides with headlines, buttons and images in the Premium Carousel widget.
“Build a homepage hero slider with three slides using the Premium Addons Carousel widget. Each slide needs a headline, a button and a background image.”
Create a pricing table. The AI assistant sets up both billing periods and marks the plan you want to promote.
“Create a hosting pricing table with monthly and yearly prices using the Premium Addons Pricing Table widget. Highlight the most popular plan and add a badge to it.”
Schedule a message. The AI assistant adds Display Conditions to a widget so it shows only to the visitors and days you pick.
“Add a Premium Addons Alert Box to this page and show it only on mobile, on Fridays, to returning visitors.”
Animate on scroll. The AI assistant applies a Magic Scroll effect to a widget. Magic Scroll is part of Premium Addons PRO.
“Add a Premium Addons Progress Bar and animate it with a Magic Scroll effect as the visitor scrolls.”
The AI assistant can also redesign an existing page on a draft copy, recreate a Figma design with Premium Addons widgets, or copy a page from one of your sites to another.
