Recently, Instagram API has been deprecated, so you will need to migrate to the new API handled by Facebook. Premium Instagram Feed widget for Elementor is now fully compatible with the new API. Since now, no more need to use Instagram access token generator.
In this article, we will show how you can migrate from the old API to the new one with just two steps.
- You will need Premium Addons PRO plugin installed and activated on your website.
- Also, make sure that this widget/addon is enabled so you can find it in the Elementor editor. Check this article to know how to do that.
- Premium Addons works only with Elementor Page Builder plugin so you will need to have it installed and activated as well.
Let’s connect Instagram account to Elementor Instagram Feed widget, so you can start to retrieve the media from your Instagram account.
Step 1: In widget settings -> Content tab -> Access Credentials, click on LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK button.
Step 2: It will redirect you to Instagram login page, please enter your Facebook credentials then click on Log In button.
Step 3: You will be automatically redirected to Instagram permissions page make sure “Access your media” permission is checked, then click Authorize.
Once you authorize Elementor Instagram Feed widget to connect your Instagram account, the login popup will be closed automatically and an access token will be inserted into “Access Token” option field in the widget settings and your feed will be loaded.
